Schwarzer Seidendamast mit fein eingewebtem Blütendekor. Im Schulterbereich umlaufend wellenartig applizierte Borten mit kleinen, schwarzen Glassteinen, eingefasst von schwarzen Pailletten. Darunter sechs en suite gefertigte Dekorblüten mit facettierten, schwarzen Glassteinen im Zentrum. Der Kragen mit gerüschter, schwarzer Seide eingefasst (kleine Fehlstellen und Beschädigungen) sowie mit breiter Borte aus feiner Spitze besetzt. Das Cape etwa zu einem Drittel verschließbar mit schwarzer Seidenschleife am Hals sowie vier Haken darunter. Der Saum ebenfalls mit schwarzer Spitze eingefasst, die Naht mit breitem Samtband bedeckt. Schwarzes Seidenleinenfutter, die Spitze am Saum ebenfalls unterfüttert. Im Nacken vernähtes schwarzes Etikett mit in Schwarz gesticktem Monogramm "E" unter Krone. Sehr schöner Gesamtzustand.

Empress Elisabeth of Austria – a black mourning cape, after 1889
Black silk damask interwoven with a delicate floral pattern. The shoulders embellished with continuous wavy, appliquéd borders of small, black, glass beads, surrounded by black sequins. Below which six en suite floral ornaments with faceted, black glass beads in the middle. The collar trimmed with ruched, black silk (minor defects and losses to the fabric) and a wide border of fine lace. Approximately one third of the cape fastening with a black silk ribbon at the throat and four hooks beneath it. The hem also trimmed with black lace, the seam covered with a wide velvet ribbon. Black silk linen lining, also under the lace at the hem. A black label with the crowned monogram "E" in black embroidery sewn into the neck. Overall in beautiful condition.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
