Silber, vergoldet, in Form einer höfischen Dame des Mittelalters gearbeitet, das floral verzierte Kleid mit Türkisen und weiteren Halbedelsteinen besetzt. Das Podest mit Blüten- und Rankendekor sowie eingelassenem Topas als Siegelfläche mit geschnittenem Monogramm "S" (Sisi) unter der Kaiserkrone. Höhe 72 mm, Gewicht 73 g. Dazu ein Siegelabdruck sowie ein eigenhändig in Tinte adressiertes Kuvert der Kaiserin "Seiner Majestät dem Kaiser u. König - Wien" mit Stempel "Recom. No." mit handschriftlicher Ergänzung "42" und Poststempel "Meran", wohl vom 6.2.1871, rs. in rotem Wachs gesiegelt mit Spiegelmonogramm "S".
Provenienz: ZAM - Zentrum für Außergewöhnliche Museen, München. Ausgestellt unter der Inventarnummer 38 in der Sonderausstellung "Das Siegel in meiner Hand - Petschaften bedeutender Persönlichkeiten des 18., 19. und des frühen 20. Jhdts." vom 23.7. bis 15.11.2001. Dazu das ehemalige Inventarkärtchen und in Kopie ein Presseschreiben für die Ausstellung der damaligen Museumsleiterin, in dem dieses Petschaft erwähnt wird.

Silver gilt, wrought in the shape of a medieval courtly lady, her gown with floral embellishment, set with turquoises and other semi-precious stones. The pedestal with floral and tendril decoration, an inset topaz as the seal surface with the chiselled monogram "S" (Sisi) below the imperial crown. Height 72 mm, weight 73 g. Also includes a seal imprint and an envelope bearing the Empress' handwriting in ink, addressed to "Seiner Majestät dem Kaiser u. König - Wien" with the stamp "Recom. No.", the handwritten note "42" and "Meran" postmark, probably dated 6 February 1871. Sealed on the back with the intertwined monogram "S" in red wax.
Provenance: ZAM- Zentrum für Außergewöhnliche Museen (Centre for Exceptional Museums), Munich. Displayed under inventory no. 38 in the special exhibition "Das Siegel in meiner Hand - Petschaften bedeutender Persönlichkeiten des 18., 19. und des frühen 20. Jhdts." (tr. "The seal in my hand - seals belonging to significant personalities of the 18th, 19th and early 20th century") from 23 July to 15 November 2001. Included is the former exhibition card and a copy of the press release for the exhibition, written by the director of the museum at the time.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
