Buchenholz, massiv und schichtverleimt, Geflecht. 90,5x48x775cm.
Das Bauteil, welches die Hinterbeine und den vorderen Rahmen zur Befestigung des Sitzes bildet, ist vollständig aus geschichtetem Holz gearbeitet. Die sehr starken Hinterbeine sind jeweils aus 7 Schichten konstruiert. Im Bereich des Drehpunkts beginnt auf beiden Seiten bereits die V-förmige Anschäftung des vorderen Rahmenelements. Rücklehneinsatz und Sitzring sind beide geschichtet, die Anzahl der Schichten lässt sich nicht exakt bestimmen. Vorderbeine und Rücklehnholme sind - wie auch die beiden Querverstrebungen - vollständig massiv, lediglich die beiden "Schniekel" am oberen Ende sind aus Schichtholz gefertigt.
Kaminsessel der Konkurrenten sind äußerst selten, was vermutlich mit dem aufwendigen Herstellungsverfahren zusammenhängt. Aus dem Bericht der Wiener Weltausstellung von 1873 weiß man, daß Neyger dort unter anderem auch Klappsessel gezeigt hat. Ob dieser allerdings von Neyger oder einem anderen der Konkurrenten ist, lässt sich - da keine Kennzeichnung vorhanden ist - mit Sicherheit heute nicht mehr beantworten

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
