Der Blaue Reiter est un cercle de peintres et amis né dans l’effervescence artistique qui anime Munich au début du XXe siècle. Les fondateurs, Kandinsky et Marc, ont organisé deux expositions en 1911 et 1912 et affirmé leur désir commun de rénover le langage artistique. C’est à la suite de ces expositions que Der Blaue Reiter, un livre imaginé sur le modèle de l’almanach, fut publié en 1912.
Der Blaue Reiter visait à montrer que la question de la forme était secondaire dans l’art, que la question de l’art était avant tout une question de contenu. Les illustrations de ce livre à l’importance capitale pour l’expressionnisme allemand ont été réalisées d’après les travaux des plus grands artistes modernes allemands et français tels que Arp, Kandinsky, Marc, Kircher, Heckel, Nolde ou encore Pechstein.
La guerre contraignit le groupe à se séparer et mit fin au cercle du Blaue Reiter dès 1914. La disparition de Franz Marc en 1916 fit de ce livre une œuvre unique ayant considérablement influencé l’évolution ultérieure de l’art abstrait.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
