Kandschar mit Griff aus Walross-Elfenbein, Persien um 1800. Gekrümmte, zweischneidige Klinge mit beidseitigem Mittelgrat und abgesetzten Schneiden aus Wootz-Damast mit schön sichtbarer Zeichnung. Beidseitig am Klingenansatz erhabenes Floraldekor von zwei vergoldeten Arabesken, vorderseitig im Mittelschild islamische Inschrift. Der Griff aus poliertem, massivem Walross-Elfenbein mit Spannungsriß. Alte, belederte Holzscheide mit eisernem Kugelabschluss, Altersspuren. Länge 35cm. Z 2+ Sehr schöne Qualität. (SW02) A fine Khanjar, Persian Qajar Period late 18th, early 19th century with double-edged and gilt decorated Wootz steel blade, the carved handle is made of a solid piece of walrus ivory.
