Kräftige, zweischneidige, leicht gekrümmte Klinge aus Wootz-Damast mit abgesetzten Schneiden und leichtem Mittelgrat, im ersten Klingendrittel mit geschnittenem und goldtauschiertem Arabeskendekor. Die Goldtauschierung partiell berieben, wohl islamische Schriftzeichen. Massiver Griff aus Walrosselfenbein. Originale Silberscheide, fein graviertes Randdekor, umlaufendes Reliefdekorband, der Abschlussknauf in Palmettenform gearbeitet. Einseitige Trageöse. Länge 47cm. Z 2+ (SW09). Schöne Qualität. A fine Ottoman Khanjar 18th century with heavy, double-edged, slightly curved wootz Damascus blade. Decorated with gold inlay (some worn in places) at the base of the blade. Massive walrus ivory grip. Silver scabbard, the final button is worked in the shape of a palmette. Carrying ring on one side. Length 47cm.
