Karl tuck, "Hünengrab in der Heide" close-up View of a mighty boulders built Hünengrabes with wind flüchter in the Heath landscape, color lithography, the bottom right of the print signed and dated "Karl tuck in 1901," and publisher's logo, the "B. G. Teubner-Verlag", something to crease lane, gegilbt and bleached, a few floor spots, behind the glass in approx 11-cm wide oak bar (rubbed), framed, Falzmaße approx. 72 x 102 cm. Artist info: Carl tuck, landscapes, dt, due to his preference for the winter "snow-tuck" called. Painter and lithographer (1863 Hamburg-Wandsbeck until 1926, Tübingen), 1878-82 painter, teaching, hereinafter referred to as a theatre artist and student of the Hamburg trade school, studied 1883-86 with a scholarship at the Academy of Karlsruhe with Theodor Poeck and Gustav Schönleber, in 1886, from a financial Distress task of studying, in 1886, a master painter and crafts in Hamburg, and self-employment as a decorative painter until 1892, 1892-96 re-study at the Karlsruhe Academy under Carlos Grethe, Christian Ludwig bockelmann, Leopold von Kalckreuth and a master student of Gustav Schönleber, undertook study trips through Italy and Germany, in 1896 as a freelancer in Karlsruhe, 1899 to settle in the painter colony of Grötzingen, from 1903 in Karlsruhe, friendship, Hans Thoma, co-founder and, at times, Chairman of the Karlsruhe artists Association, created around 1904, a series of collective images for the Cologne chocolate producers Ludwig Stollwerck, from 1907, in St. Märgen in the black forest, 1909 in Hamburg-Blankenese, 1911 in the town of Freudenstadt, and from 1917 in Tübingen, source: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches artist lexicon", AKL, Dressler, Miller-Singer, Rump, Mülfarth and Wikipedia.
