Édition originale complète des sept livres de Kepler. À la suite de la parution de son Astronomia nova (1609), Kepler débute la rédaction de travaux fondés sur les principes et théories énoncés par Copernic, qui paraissent successivement sous la forme de trois épais volumes in-octavo. Cependant, si le titre semble suggérer un simple commentaire, l'ouvrage est surtout l'occasion d'exposer ses propres découvertes.
La première partie a été logiquement incluse dans l'Index librorum prohibitorum par l'Eglise catholique, qui avait en outre accusé la propre mère de Kepler de sorcellerie. Brunet, III, col. 652 ; Caspar 55, 69 et 66 ; Houzeau et Lancaster, n° 11831 ; PMM, n° 112 (à propos de Kepler).
3 parties en 1 vol. in-8 (158 x 95 mm), à pagination continue. Une planche dépliante p. 820, nombreux diagrammes gravés sur bois dans le texte. Reliure de l’époque en veau brun, décor à la Du Seuil avec au centre des plats chiffre C I cantonné de fermesses, inscrit dans un médaillon végétal, dos à nerfs et caissons ornés, contreplats de papier marbré, tranches dorées (léger manque en marge extérieure du feuillet 3E7, occasionnant la perte de quelques lettres, rousseurs, comme toujours, en particulier au t. III, petit manque au feuillet l3v ; charnières et dos usés, coiffe de tête manquante, quelques taches au plat supérieur). Provenance : reliure au chiffre "C I" cantonné de fermesses -- ex-libris manuscrit cancellé à la page de titre, l'encre s'étant propagée aux 2 ff. suivants -- autre ex-libris ancien illisible en raison d'un petit manque de papier, réparé par un morceau contrecollé au verso -- P. Brauman (tampon) -- par descendance au propriétaire actuel.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. Choose a lot from the upcoming auction and the maximum amount you want to place on it. After confirmation of your choice, we will send your application by e-mail to the appropriate auction house. If the auction house accepts a request, it will participate in the auction. You can view the current status of a bid at any time in your personal account in the "Bids" section.
Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
