An der Spitze zweischneidige Klinge. Die Parierstange auf der einen Seite vergoldet, auf der anderen Seite mit Resten von Silberplattierung. Die Griffangel mit Resten der eisernen Nietstifte. Korrodiert. Gute Eisensubstanz. Länge 84 cm. Dazu eine Scheidenaufhängung aus Bronze und 14 goldplattierte Bronzescheiben eines Pferdegeschirrs mit Durchmessern von 5,2 cm bis 7 cm. Zwei Scheiben mit Fehlstellen, sonst intakt. Außergewöhnliches Ensemble.

A Khasar sabre from the Black Sea area, 8th – 9th century
Double-edged blade at the tip. The crossguard gilded on one side, on the other side remains of silver inlays. Corroded. Good iron substance. Length 84 cm. In addition, a bronze sheath suspension and 14 gold-plated bronze discs from a horse harness with diameters from 5.2 cm to 7 cm. Two discs with flaws, otherwise intact. Extraordinary ensemble.
