First edition of this work by Kircher full of beautiful plates depicting some of the magnificent landscapes of Lazio. A copy that is not excessively browned and in good condition, lacking only the portrait of the Pope.

Folio (387 x 248mm). Engraved frontispiece by Romeyn de Hooghe, woodcut vignette on title, 24 plates (of 25 as per index) of which many are double-page and including the large folding plan of Villa Adriana with a dedication to Cardinal Francesco Barberini, numerous engraved illustrations; the plates are present as per the index although other copies on the market sometimes contain a different number (lacking portrait of Pope Clement X, a bit browned but never heavily, some creasing to the folding plan). Contemporary calf, spine decorated in gilt, red speckled edges (weak joints, extremities rubbed).

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
