SUNDIAL WITH COMPASS AND MOON CLOCK - Lienhart Miller, Nuremberg, dated 1625 - Ivory, engraved, punched, blackened and painted. Brass mounting. On the top of the lid a wind rose with 16 wind directions, inside scale for a sundial with pole thread and plumb bob hole. Bottom plate with compass and moon clock on the underside. On the left side a recess for the wind vane (not existing). Signed underneath the sun LENHART MIELER 1625. Age damages, discoloured, rest. Losses. Comes with sales permit for ivory objects. - Important Bavarian private Collection, assembled between the 1950ies and the 1980ies.
11,2 x 7,7 x 1,5 cm
Elfenbein, graviert, punziert, geschwärzt und bemalt. Messingmontierung. Auf dem Deckel oben eine Windrose mit 16 Windrichtungen, innen Skala für eine Sonnenuhr mit Polfaden und Lotloch. Bodenplatte mit Kompass und Monduhr auf der Unterseite. Am linken Rand seitlich eine Aussparung für die Windfahne (nicht vorhanden). Unter der Sonne signiert LENHART MIELER 1625. Altersschäden, verfärbt, rest. Fehlstellen. Verkaufsgenehmigung für Elfenbein-Objekte liegt vor.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
