im Original-Etui. Silber und kobaltblaues Glas. Bauchig gedrückter Korpus, übergehend in eingezogenen Rand. Korrespondierender glatter Deckel. Darauf zentral die applizierte, erhabene Gedenkmedaille mit abstrakt wirkender Darstellung der über Kreuz angeordneten und ineinander übergehenden ersten Motorkutsche sowie des ersten Automobils. Gest. 925, Herstellerzeichen. Deckel-Gew. ca. 60 g. H. 5 cm. D. 8,5 cm.
Im Rahmen des 100-jährigen Jubiläums des ersten Automobils von 1886 gab die Firma Mercedes Benz bei der Silbermanufaktur Gebrüder Kühn in Schwäbisch Gmünd verschiedene, einzigartige Silberobjekte in Auftrag. Der Entwurf für die zu diesem Anlass gestaltete Medaille stammt von dem deutschen Designer, Plakatkünstler und Hochschullehrer Richard Roth (1907-2003), der u. a. Plakate für die Weltausstellung 1958 in Brüssel oder die Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung 1959 in Frankfurt a. Main entwarf und an der Münchner Akademie der bildenden Künste lehrte.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
