Zylindrischer Korpus mit angesetztem Boden und Henkel, scharniergelagerter Deckel mit gravierter Silbermontierung. Auf dem Korpus umlaufend in kräftigem Halbrelief geschnitzte Figuren. Darstellungen von Bacchus und Ceres, Venus mit zwei Eroten, Herkules im Kampf mit Antäus, Nike, sowie der Darstellung eines älteren Mannes mit junger, unbekleideter Gespielin. Auf dem Deckel plastische Bekrönung in Form von Neptun, auf einem Muschelboot von zwei Hippokampen gezogen (bestoßen, die rechte Hand, der Dreizack und der Schwanz eines Hippokampen fehlen). Auf der Innenseite des Deckels fein reliefiertes Medaillon mit Darstellung des Hl. Georgs im Kampf mit dem Drachen, der Hintergrund mit Mica belegt. Im Vordergrund die gefangene Prinzessin und der Drache, die Figur des Hl. Georgs verloren. Der Boden mit fein geschnitzter Rosette (bestoßen). Beiliegend altes handgeschriebenes Etikett, bezeichnet "Kgl. Kunstkabinett, vom großen Kurfürsten stammend". Höhe des Kruges 15 cm, mit Bekrönung 21 cm.

A small German carved ivory tankard, circa 1620
Cylindrical body with attached base and handle, the hinged lid with engraved silver mounts. The body decorated with figures carved in high-relief. Portrayal of Bacchus and Ceres, Venus with two erotes, Hercules fighting Antaeus, Nike, and an older man with a young nude. The lid decorated with a terminal in the form of Neptune in a seashell boat drawn by two hippocamps (bumped, the right hand, the trident, and the tail of one hippocamp missing). On the inside of the lid a finely carved medallion depicting Saint George slaying the dragon, the background applied with mica. In the foreground the captured princess and the dragon, the figure of St. George lost. The base with a finely carved rosette (bumped). Enclosed an old handwritten inventory label, inscribed "Kgl. Kunstkabinett, vom großen Kurfürsten stammend". Height of the tankard 15 cm, with terminal 21 cm.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
