A Knoble Mod. 1907, US Army Trial
Cal. .45Auto, SN. ohne, barrel length 5½". Bright bore. Seven shots. No modern proof marks. Single Action. Toggle lock. External hammer. THe front grip strap open as a way to charge the gun. No markings whatsoever. All parts in the white, some spotting, minor signs of wear. Smooth walnut grips. Polished magazine with lateral windows. Made by William B. Knoble in Tacoma, Washington. Most likely a prototype, presented at the US Army trials to adopt a semi-auto pistol. Not adopted for various reasons - too clumsy, hard to disassemble, and misfiring, most likely because of faulty ammo provided by the Frankford Arsenal. See "US-Military Automatic Pistols", page 266.
WBK: Attention - For this gun we will need to obtain an export license for you, based on your import permit (if needed in your country) or through your firearms dealer - more info here
