Das Horn aus Terracotta zeigt Verwandtschaft mit den Pilgerhörnern. Diese Instrumente werden gelegentlich auch als Aachhörner bezeichnet. Sie wurden aus hartgebranntem Ton hergestellt und in der frühen Neuzeit vor allem in rheinländischen Töpfereien produziert. Es zeigen sich Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren.

The terracotta horn shows kinship with pilgrim horns. These are sometimes also called Aach horns. These instruments were made of hard-fired clay and were mainly produced in potteries in the Rhineland during the early modern period. There are signs of age and use.
