Kreuzförmige Applik für einen Kopfzaum. Mittig Scheibe, in die ein Pferd als Rolltier eingearbeitet ist. Nach links gerichteter Pferdekopf mit Hals, darunter Oberkörper mit ausgestreckten Vordergliedmaßen, dahinter der zur Linie verdünnte, als Kreisbogen verlaufende Hinterkörper, von dem aus die Hintergliedmaßen abgehen. Seitlich dreimal stilisiertes Gehörn und Ohr eines Steinbocks, dahinter langer trapezförmiger Fortsatz mit Rauten und doppelten Kreisaugen. Auf Rückseite zwei Durchzüge für Riemen. Wunderschöne grüne Patina. Intakt. Länge 10 cm.

A Scythian bridle fitting, 5th century B.C.
Cross-shaped appliqué for a head bridle. A disc in the centre, into which a horse is worked as a rolling animal. Horse's head with neck pointing to the left, below upper body with outstretched forelimbs, behind it the hind body thinned to a line, running as an arc of a circle, from which the hind limbs depart. On the side three stylised horns and ears of an ibex, behind them a long trapezoidal projection with diamonds and double circular eyes. On the back two slits for straps. Beautiful green patina. Intact. Length 10 cm.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
