Schweres Schloss aus gewölbtem, vergoldetem Buntmetall (berieben), schauseitig reich und erhaben reliefiert, im Zentrum die Herrscherchiffre "JN" unter Krone zwischen Eichen- und Lorbeerlaub. Rs. Öse für Koppelriemen, Schließhaken sowie rotes Tuchfutter. Trage- und Altersspuren. Maße 6,3 x 8,9 cm. Selten.
A belt buckle for officers of the Westphalian army, 1807 - 1813
Heavy buckle of domed, gilt non-ferrous metal (rubbed), profusely cast in relief on the obverse, the cipher "JN" surmounted by a crown and set between oak and laurel leaves. On the reverse an eye for the strap, prong, and red lining fabric. Signs of wear and age. Dimensions 6.3 x 8.9 cm. Rare.
