Hübsche kleinformatige Figurengruppe aus Terrakotta, die wohl Dionysos und eine Nymphe oder junge Frau darstellt. Beschwingt und mit ausladendem Tanzbein hält der bärtige Gott des Weins die junge Frau im Arm. Er ist halb entblößt, sie ist voll gewandet. Die Arbeit zählt sehr wahrscheinlich zu der Gruppe buntbemalter Figuren aus Sizilien, die heute als Centuripe-Gattung bekannt sind. Neben diversen Gefäßen werden Figurengruppen mit meist heiterem Sujet, meist mit weiblichen Darstellungen, produziert. Es existieren aber auch Götterbilder, dann meist im Kontext von Festen mit Dionysos. Ein griechischer Ursprung solcher Keramiken mag in den sehr berühmten Tanagra-Figuren aus Böotien seit dem 5. vorchristlichen Jahrhundert gesehen werden. Das stilistische Vorbild kam aus Athen und wurde vor allem durch die bemalten Arbeiten aus der nahen Stadt Tanagra bekannt. Die sehr pittoreske Kleinkunst fand Rezeption sowohl in der Dichtkunst wie auch in der Malerei des 19. Jahrhunderts und wird heute im Louvre und in anderen großen Museen der Welt exponiert.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
