Feine Malerei in Gold und polychromer Gouache auf Elfenbein, partiell belegt mit bunten Schmucksteinen und kleinen Perlen. Dargestellt ist der letzte Moghul-Kaiser Badur Shah II. Zafar (1775-1862) mit seiner Gattin Zinat Mahal. Beide sind mit den antiken Moghul-Gewändern und Kopfbedeckungen dargestellt, wie sie schon vom ersten Moghul-Herrscher Shah Jahan und dessen Gattin Mumtaz Mahal getragen wurden. Die Rgentschaft Badur Shah II. war durch die englische Besatzung und die Einflussnahme der East India Company startk geprägt. Sein Machtbereich erstreckte sich hauptsächlich um das rote Fort in Neu Dehli. Er war am antibritischen von 1857 beteiligt und starb im Exil. Die feine Malerei ist ganz im klassischen Moghul-Stil gehaltenmit bemerkenswert feiner Zeichnung der Textilien und des Wandornaments. Bemerkenswert auch die aufgelegten Zierleisten im Bereich der Lehne der Sitzbank.
