In fein nuanciertem Kolorit mit subtiler und effektvoller Lichtführung gemalte Atelierszene eines jungen Bildhauers, der noch mit Hammer und Meißel in seinen Händen beinahe ehrfürchtig auf seine gerade vollendete Arbeit emporblickt - eine lebensgroße, äußerst naturalistische Marmorskulptur einer jungen, weiblichen Schönheit, die den Blick ihres Schöpfers zu erwidern scheint. Reizvolles, nach 1914 entstandenes Genrebild Meyer-Waldecks - eigentlich Conradin Karl Ferdinand Meyer - der 1879-1887 an der Münchener Akademie bei Alexander Strähuber, Johann Leonhard Raab und als Meisterschüler von Wilhelm von Lindenschmit d. J. studierte. 1885/86 hielt er sich in Italien auf, eine Reise, die ihn nicht nur in Bezug auf seine bevorzugten Sujets prägte, sondern durch welche das mediterrane Licht und dessen Farbpalette fortan Einzug in seine Arbeiten fand. Ab 1888 wirkte Meyer freischaffend in München, unterbrochen von Aufenthalten in Bremen, Portugal und Dallas. Seine Werke, die vielfach prämiert wurden, zeigte er auf den Weltausstellungen in Amsterdam und St. Louis, er beteiligte sich 1888-1931 an den Ausstellungen des Münchener Glaspalastes und beschickte 1937 die Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung im Haus der Deutschen Kunst München. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
