The hinged lid depicts a legendary moment when Peter the Great, returning on a yacht from a voyage along the Ladoga Canal near the village of Lakhty, encountered a boat carrying women and children stranded during a storm. In a courageous act, he initiated their rescue. The silvered interior signed with Cyrillic mark. The edges minimally chipped. 11.2 cm high, 10 cm long.
