A difficult work to be found on the market, printed after the first in 1543 which was published in the vernacular in Lyon. It is the most famous work of the brilliant humanist and writer Ortensio Lando and it contains his paradoxical speeches.

8vo (147 x 90mm). Woodcut initials (title repaired in the upper margin and first 22 leaves with a wormhole in the upper margin at times repaired and with small losses, some soilings, occasional spotting). 17th-18th- century calf decorated in gilt with floral motifs on covers and with geometrical motifs on the spine, speckled edges, marbled endpapers (wormhole at top of spine).
