Date: 12th/13th c.
Technique: Bronze with green, powdry patina.
Description: On each side in the center a Garuda, holding up a winged mask, probably the face of Kala.
This is considered a form of Yama, the god of death, but also an embodiment of time. The
upper part, through which the carrying bar was led, is decorated with erected ends,
similar to leaves, and also unusually with four tiny figures. The hook at the bottom in
the shape of a Naga snake, which in turn ends in a Garuda head.
Measurement: H.23cm, w.19.5cm.
Condition A/B. Cracks and repairs.
