"Das Tagebuch der Eva Braun", 84 einzelne Seiten, maschinengeschrieben, Maße ca. 27 x 24 cm, links gelocht, handschriftlich "III", ca. 1947. Einige internationale Pressestimmen zu den Veröffentlichungen: SCOOP Artikeldienst/Der Tiroler Österreich, Welt am Abend, France Soir, Hamburger Zeitung und "Die Nation - Bern". Ein Blatt, mit Betreff "Leni Riefenstahl", eine persönliche Erklärung zum Tagebuch, 20.05.1948, mit Unterschrift. Hier geht sie konkret auf die Passagen im Tagebuch ein, die sie betreffen, ein Satz rot unterstrichen: "Eva Braun habe ich weder gekannt noch jemals gesehen... wie absurd und unsinnig im übrigen alle über mich verbreiteten Gerüchte sind...", sowie die eidesstattliche Erklärung in fünf Punkten zu Riefenstahls Status in der NS-Zeit und ihrem Bezug zu Hitler, datiert Königsfeld, 01.09.1946, mit Unterschrift. Ein Klein-Brief an Anders Lembke, 08.10.1948, ihre Gefühle zum Tagebuch beschreibend. Fünf Schreiben und Dokumente von Rechtsanwälten, Traute Bach usw. Von Rudolf Diehls, 11/48: "Liebe Leni ... Sie können doch nicht diesen Halunken Trenker beachten. Meine Freunde der 'Echo der Woche' in München haben ihm doch schon sehr aufs Maul gegeben...". Insgesamt die Papiere mit Altersspuren.
1948 klagten Eva Brauns Familie und Leni Riefenstahl gegen die Veröffentlichung des angeblichen Tagebuchs. Die Richter kamen schnell zu einer Entscheidung. Zeugenaussagen von Hitlers Sekretärin und seines Chauffeurs sowie zahlreiche Widersprüche im Text entlarvten das Tagebuch als Fälschung. Jahre später erklärte Luis Trenker, dass die ganze Affäre nur ein "Jux" gewesen sei.

One sheet of paper with the subject heading "Leni Riefenstahl", a personal statement on the diary, 20.05.1948 with signature. She addresses the passages in the diary referring to her, one sentence underlined in red (tr.): "I didn't know Eva Braun and I never met her … how absurd and silly are the rumours which are spread about me …", as well as Leni's affidavit in five points regarding her status during the Nazi era and her relationship to Hitler, dated Königsfeld 01.09.1946, signed. A small letter to Anders Lembcke, 08.10.1948, describing her feelings towards the diary. Five letters and documents from lawyers, Traute Bach, and others. Rudolf Diehls writes in 11/48 (tr.): "Dear Leni … You mustn't pay attention to that scoundrel Luis Trenker. My friends at the "Echo der Woche" in Munich have already mauled him badly …". The documents with signs of age.
In 1948 Eva Braun's family and Leni Riefenstahl filed a lawsuit to prevent the publication of the alleged diary. The judges came to a quick conclusion. Testimonies by Hitler's secretary and his chauffeur as well as several contradictions within the text reveal the diary as a scam. Many years later Luis Trenker admitted that the whole matter had been a "prank".
