Das mit breiten, miteinander verwobenen Farbflächen komponierte Gemälde, gehört zu den seltenen, reinen Landschaften des Malers, beeinflusst durch Paul Cézanne. Putz ging schon im Alter von 16 Jahren gegen den Willen seines Vaters nach München, wo er Schüler seines Stiefbruders Robert Poetzelberger wurde. Seit 1889 studierte er an der Münchener Akademie bei Gabriel von Hackl und an der Académie Julian in Paris. 1897 hatte Putz sein erstes eigenes Atelier in München und trat noch im selben der dortigen Secession bei. 1899 wurde er Mitbegründer der fortschrittlichen Münchener Künstlervereinigung "Die Scholle". Zugleich arbeitete Putz intensiv am Wochenblatt "Jugend" mit. Mit der auf eine Gesamtheit angelegten, auf Farbe und Rhythmus basierenden Bildwirkung seiner Werke, gehörte er zur Riege jener Künstler, welche die deutsche Kunst um 1900 erneuerten. Manche seiner Jugendstilbilder waren sogar provokant erotisch wie "Das kitzlige Schnecklein" von 1904 (erst 1914 in der "Jugend" publiziert). Zwischen 1909 und 1914 verbrachte Leo Putz die Sommermonate bei Schloss Hartmannsberg im bayerischen Chiemgau im Sinne der Plein air-Malerei. Dort und ab 1917 auch im Garten seines Hauses in Gauting bei München entstanden während der Sommermonate insbesondere Bildnisse eleganter junger Damen und Aktbilder, die er mit Vorliebe in die Natur einbettete. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
