Zwei monumentale In-Folio Bände (59 x 43 x 6,5 cm, zusammen 21 kg!) in rotem Halbleder mit marmorierten Deckeln. Band 1 mit Vortitel, Titel, Frontispiz und 116 ganz-, zum Teil doppelseitigen Darstellungen von Monumenten aus der Zeit vor der römischen Besetzung und der Römerzeit, eingeteilt in 4 Epochen. Der Textteil mit ausführlichen Erklärungen zu den Abbildungen.
Band 2 mit Vortitel, Titel, 50 Seiten und 142 (statt 143; es fehlt die Tafel 184, Chateau de Josselin en Bretagne - war aber offenbar nirgends eingebunden, fehlt auch im Exemplar der Bibliothèque Nationale de France) ganz-, zum Teil doppelseitigen Darstellungen von Monumenten im byzantinischen und römischen Stil, mit Kreuzrippengewölben und im Stil der Renaissance.
Der vordere Deckel von Band 1 mittig angebrochen, das Rückenleder am Kapitale hinten auf 5cm eingerissen. Das Rückenleder von Band 2 unten auf etwa 10 cm Länge aufgeplatzt. Berieben und bestoßen. Kräftiger Druck von Text und Stichen. Durchwegs moderat stockfleckig, hauptsächlich im weißen Rand, kaum in den Illustrationen. Gedruckt auf kräftigem Bütten, die Seitenbreite um bis zu 5 mm variierend. Ein sehr schönes Exemplar dieses beeindruckenden Werks!

This monumental (in each respect!) work in two imperial folio volumes, each measuring 59 x 43 x 6,5 cm and weighin together over 40 pounds (!) is bound in red half-calf with marbled covers. It contains 258 full or even double-page illustrations of monuments, from ancient roman times up to gothic and Renaissance-style cathedrals and castles. Each spine with a little tear, the cover of Vol. 1 with a crack, rubbed. Strong paper, with foxing mostly in the white margins. Strong print of excellent quality. An impressive edition!

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
