Öl/Lw. 61 x 70,5 cm. Zustand Rest. und Retuschen. - Landschafts- und Figurenmaler, hervorragender Meister von Darstellungen des städtischen Lebens Berlins in einem farbenfrohen Impressionismus. U. studierte an der Akademie Düsseldorf bei J. J. H. Müller sowie bei J. F. Portaels in Brüssel, der ihn an L. Bonnat empfahl. In Paris bildete er sich bei J. Lefèbvre weiter, 1887 ließ er sich dauerhaft in Berlin nieder und trat in Beziehung zu W. Uhde und M. Liebermann. Die Verleihung des Michael-Beer-Preises 1890 ermöglichte ihm einen Italienaufenthalt. Er beschickte zahlreiche Ausstellungen, darunter 1922 die der Berliner Sezession, deren Ehrenmitglied er seit 1921 war, und 1931 in der Berliner Nationalgalerie. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
