Schlanke Stichklinge mit linsenförmigem Querschnitt und beidseitiger, teils durchbrochen gearbeiteter Kehlung. Kräftige, zweifach gekehlte Fehlschärfe mit terzseitiger Rippe. Leicht zur Klinge geneigte kantige Parierstange mit terzseitigem Daumenring und fein graviertem floralen Dekor. Originale gekehlte Hilze mit feiner Eisendrahtwicklung und einem erhaltenen Türkenbund. Quadratischer Knauf mit graviertem Blütendekor und abgesetztem Vernietknauf. Länge 37,5 cm.
A French left-hand dagger with pierced blade, circa 1570
Slender thrusting blade of lenticular cross-section and partly openwork fullers on both sides. Sturdy ricasso with double fullers and ridge on the obverse. Edged quillons slightly inclined towards the blade with thumb ring on the obverse and finely engraved flower ornaments. Original fullered grip with fine iron wire wrap and one preserved Turk’s head. Square pommel with engraved flower ornaments and offset riveted finial. Length 37.5 cm.
