Né à Pékin en 1972, Liu Wei est un artiste plasticien dont le travail est parcouru de thèmes récurrents, en particulier la ville et son évolution. Wei aime à réfléchir à des concepts de « readymade » pour réinventer son quotidien. L’artiste a fait l’objet de nombreuses expositions personnelles : son œuvre est montrée au Minsheng Art Museum (Shanghai) en 2011, au Musée Bojimans Van Beuningen (Rotterdam) en 2014, au Samsung Museum of Art (Séoul) en 2016 et au Long Museum en 2020. Présenté à la 51ème et 58ème Biennales de Venise, l’artiste participe également à la 13ème Biennale de Lyon ainsi qu’à de nombreuses expositions collectives d’art contemporain chinois : en 2004 au MoMA pour China Now et en 2016 à New York au Salomon Guggenheim Museum et à Paris à la Fondation Louis Vuitton.
Born in Beijing in 1972, Liu Wei is a visual artist whose work is marked by recurring themes, in particular the city and its evolution. Wei likes to think about “readymade” concepts to reinvent his daily life. The artist has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions: his work was shown at the Minsheng Art Museum (Shanghai) in 2011, the Bojimans Van Beuningen Museum (Rotterdam) in 2014, the Samsung Museum of Art (Seoul) in 2016 and the Long Museum in 2020. Presented at the 51st and 58th Venice Biennials, the artist also participated in the 13th Lyon Biennial as well as in numerous group exhibitions of Chinese contemporary art: in 2004 at MoMA for China Now and in 2016 in New York at the Salomon R. Guggenheim and in Paris at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. After confirming your email address, enter your personal information in your user profile, such as your first name, last name, and mail address. Choose a lot from the upcoming auction and the maximum amount you want to place on it. After confirmation of your choice, we will send your application by e-mail to the appropriate auction house. Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
