Reduced to the Essential animal figure of the sculptor, one of the pioneers of Modernism in the Berlin school of sculpture. Tuaillon studied 1879-1881 at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Berlin and worked in 1882/83 as a master student of Reinhold Begas. 1885-1903 Tuaillon lived in Rome, where he created 1890-1895 his bronze sculpture "Amazon on horseback". This was at the Great Berlin art exhibition of 1895 created a sensation, and in 1898, survival was positioned in front of the national gallery. Since 1902, Tuaillon was a member of the Berliner secession, 1906, he was appointed as a Professor at the Berlin Academy of art. H. 34.3 cm.Patinated bronze, ebonized wooden base.
