Louis de Granada war ein bescheidener, aber außerordentlich erfolgreicher Mönch. Nachdem er mehrere Klöster begründet hatte, Beichtvater und Ratgeber gewesen war, die Bischofs- und Kardinalswürde abschlug, einen der gelesensten Autoren seiner Zeit abgab, starb er, der auch mit 84 Jahren seine Kammer im Winter nicht heizte, an einer schmerzlichen Krankheit am 31. Dez. 1588. - Etw. Gebrauchsspuren, Titel mit Eckfehlst., Bibliothek-St. - Dabei: Barclay,J. Argenis. Amsterdam 1644. Fehlen alle 24 Kupfertafeln.
