Vollplastisch geschnitzte Figur in Form einer jungen Frau in der deutschen Renaissancetracht um 1540. Alte Farbfassung mit kleinen Defekten. Die Figur eventuell eine frühere Arbeit. Am unteren Ende in zwei schön ausgebildete kapitale Damhirschgeweihe auslaufend. Sechs schmiedeeiserne Leuchterarme mit gesteckten Verbindungen und Groteskenköpfen. Floral gestaltete Tüllen (ehemals elektrifiziert). Drei fein geschmiedete eiserne Stangenketten zur Aufhängung. Maße mit Ketten ca. 83 x 88 x 85 cm.
A German figural chandelier in Renaissance style, 19th century
The fully sculptured figure of a young woman wearing German Renaissance attire, circa 1540. Old colouring with small imperfections. The figure possibly from an earlier piece. The lower edge terminating in two beautifully formed, large fallow deer antlers. Six wrought-iron lamp arms with plugged connections and grotesque masks. The sockets with floral embellishment (originally electrified). Three delicately wrought iron pole chains for hanging. Dimensions including chains approx. 83 x 88 x 85 cm.
