Schlanke Dreikant-Stichklinge. Einseitig in der Kehlung geätzte Signatur "Kennedy Manufacturer No. 53 Loveday, St. Birmm & at Mr. Peacock's, King Street, Manchester". Hoch poliertes und brüniertes eisernes Bügelgefäß mit spitzovalem Stichblatt. Reicher Besatz aus fein facettierten und vernieteten Stahlperlen, dazwischen Kartuschen mit in Gold tauschiertem Blütendekor. Extrem aufwendige eiserne Griffwicklung mit aufgesetzten facettierten Perlen und kleinen goldenen Blüten. Gravierte silberne Griffzwingen. Länge 99 cm.

A deluxe small-sword with a diamond-set hilt, Tula, circa 1780
Narrow thrusting blade of triangular section. The signature "Kennedy Manufacturer No. 53 Loveday, St. Birmm & at Mr. Peacock's, King Street, Manchester" etched into the fullers on one side. Highly polished and burnished, iron knuckle-bow hilt with a pointed oval guard plate. Profusely embellished with finely faceted, riveted steel beads, interspersed with cartouches of gold-inlaid floral decoration. Extremely intricate iron grip mountings with appliqués of faceted beads and small gold blossoms. Engraved silver grip ferrules. Length 99 cm.
