Schlanke Dreikant-Stichklinge (stellenweise leicht narbig), im oberen Viertel fein geätzter Band- und Rankendekor. Eisernes Bügelgefäß mit beidseitigem ovalen Stichblatt. Fein geschnittener, erhabener Dekor auf ziseliertem, goldunterlegtem Grund. Darstellung von mythologischen Figuren im antikisierenden Stil zwischen Rankendekor. Hilze mit originaler Wicklung aus Silberdraht und Türkenbünden. Zugehörige Scheide aus schwarzem Leder mit geschnittenen und goldunterlegten Beschlägen. Länge 91,5 cm.

A French deluxe small-sword with finely chiselled hilt, circa 1730
Narrow thrusting blade of triangular section, slightly pitted in places, finely etched scrolling bands and decorative tendrils in the upper quarter. Iron knuckle-bow hilt with an oval guard plate on both sides. Finely chiselled, raised ornamentation on a chased, gold-inlaid background. Depiction of antique-style mythological figures amidst decorative tendrils. The hilt with the original silver wire winding and Turk's heads. The associated scabbard in black leather with chased, gold-inlaid fittings. Length 91.5 cm.
