Modern artists such as Cheng Shifa, Liu Wenxi and Huang Zhou exerted the greatest influence on him. After moving to the United States, he taught watercolor and Chinese painting. Today, in addition to his artistic work, he works as a teacher, art consultant and cultural representative for various organizations. In 2016, one of his paintings, The Nine Galloping Horses, was presented to Queen Elizabeth II as a state gift from the People's Republic of China on her 90th birthday. The present work is an early work by the artist, which has enormous charisma.
