Diese reizvolle, kolorierte Konturmalerei auf Seide stellt neun Mandalas versammelt in einem Mandalapalast dar, nach den Belehrungen des bka `brgyad, einem Dzogchen Tantra. Dieser Palast zeigt - aus der Vogelperspektive - die bekannte Mandalastruktur als quadratisches Bauwerk mit vier Toren in den vier Himmelsrichtungen. Diese sind jeweils bekrönt mit den Wahrzeichen der ersten Predigt des Buddha im Gazellenhain - den zwei Gazellen, in ihrer Mitte das Dharmarad. Die Basis des Palastes steht auf einer liegenden, messerbewehrten Scheibe, über einem Lotoskranz mit alternierend farbigen Blättern. Zwei weitere konzentrische Kreise folgen nach außen, in dem sich 80 kleine Doppelkreise befinden, deren Zentrum in den Farben alternieren. Diese stehen stellvertretend für die Gefolgschaft der Mandala-Gottheit - Che mchog Heruka. Desweiteren folgt der Kreis der acht Leichenfelder, wie sie charakteristisch für Mandalas zornvoller Gottheiten sind. Abschließend umfängt eine Mauer von reinigendem Feuer, in verschiedenen Farben, den heiligen Mandalabezirk. Im Inneren der Palastmauern befinden sich vier Sektoren in den Farben: Blau, Gelb, Rot und Grün. Diese Sektoren, mit dem Schnittpunkt in der Mitte, sind die Bereiche die den Fünf Tathagatas zugeordnet sind. Das Innere des Palastes ist unterteilt in neun kapellenartige Räume, abgegrenzt durch blaufarbene Vajra-Mauern. Jede einzelne "Kapelle" bildet wiederum ein eigenes Mandala in seiner typischen Struktur. In der Mitte eines jeden Mandalas erscheint die Keimsilbe der Gottheit und ihrer Emanationen: das "diamantgleiche" Zeichen "HÛM", jeweils auf vierschneidigen Messerscheiben - diese sind Wurfscheiben zur Vernichtung von Geistern und Dämonen. Da es sich bei diesem Meditationsbild um ein anikonisches Mandala handelt, sind die Gottheiten nicht dargestellt, sie müssen in der Meditation visualisiert werden. Bei den Che mchog Heruka - im Zentrum - begleitenden acht Gottheiten handelt es sich um: Vajraheruka im Osten; Yamantaka im Süden; Hayagriva im Westen; Vajrakumara im Norden; Bla-Meri Heruka im Südosten; Vidyadhara im Südwesten; Dregs-´dul Heruka im Nordwesten; sTobs-ldan Heruka im Nordosten. In den vier Palasttoren befinden sich jeweils vier weitere Keimsilben, stellvertretend für die vier Torwächter des Mandalas. Auch in den Zwischenräumen der Umfassungsmauern, und den inneren blauen Vajramauern erscheinen, durch viele kleine konzentrische Kreise angedeutet, weitere Begleiter. Die Hauptgottheit dieses Mandalas - Che mchog Heruka - befindet sich im zentralen Raum dieses komplexen Mandalas, die sich in der Meditation aus ihrer Keimsilbe HÛM emaniert. Zeichnung auf Seide mit schwarzer Tusche, Pigmente;innerhalb des nach oben weisenden Mandalatores befand sich ein Loch, das restauriert und retuschiert ist, unter Glas gerahmt.
