Dark-blue wool, double-breasted full-length coat, simulated French cuffs, six pairs of gold metal buttons with anchor motif at front, two
slanted hip bag pockets with flap closure, rear skirt with lower open vent slash, scalloped sides with three pairs of gold metal buttons, at the top an adjustment belt with single button closure. Shoulder boards of aged, bright silver cords over black backing with two gold rank pips for Korvettenkapitän, sewn to shoulder seam and secured with screwpost buttons. Inside is lined in black rayon with grey sleeve lining, lower area has damage and one large repair patch.
