[MANZONI] - Interessante lotto di opere dedicate al celebre autore milanese fra cui la prima edizione definitiva dei Promessi Sposi (Milano: Redaelli, 1840) in una splendida copia in marocchino rosso decorato in oro e a secco ai piatti e al dorso, tagli rossi decorati a spruzzo e preservato in elegante cofanetto moderno.

Interesting lot of works dedicated to the famous Milanese author including the first definitive edition of The Promessi Sposi (Milan: Redaelli, 1840) in a splendid copy in red morocco decorated blindstamp and gold.

At the beginning of the volume an ancient map of Milan engraved by Merian in 1638 ca. is inserted (some light foxing) - Also included in the lot is the edition printed in Milan by Redaelli in 1845 of the Opere Varie in a splendid green percalline decorated in gold on the plates, spine and edges - And also an edition of the famous novel printed in Milan by Redaelli in 1869.
