Die Sonderstufe des Krimschildes entspricht in Größe und Ausführung den offiziell verliehenen Schilden. Es handelte sich um persönliche Geschenke Hitlers an den rumänischen Marschall Ion Antonescu und den Deutschen Generalfeldmarschall von Manstein, von denen beide je fünf Exemplare erhielten. Der aus Gold gefertigte Schild ist auf einer rs. Gegenplatte verschraubt und mit olivbraunem rumänischen Uniformstoff unterlegt. Die rs. Stoffabdeckung mit kyrillischem Namensetikett.
The special grade of the Crimea Shield is identical to the officially awarded shields in size and design. These items were personal gifts by Hitler to the Romanian Marshal Ion Antonescu and the German General Field Marshal von Manstein, who received five items each. The golden shield is screw-mounted on a support plate and backed by olive-brown Romanian uniform cloth. The reverse cloth cover with name label in Cyrillic script.
