Especially table representing a fountain in a tiled consisting of a basin

square decorated with four frogs at the corners, at the centre of an obelisk

five parts decorated with dolphins, cherubs, scallop shells, lions, and coins bearing the

coat of arms of France and weapons of the city of Marseille, polychrome decoration of

flower crowns and garlands of foliage in white on brown background,

the obelisk bearing the inscription fons Marsillia Civittati Facta Fuit anno M.

D CCLXXXIX.

Factory of veuve Perrin.

Eighteenth century, is dated 1789.

H. 50 ,5 cm, L. 21 cm.

A few restorations, chips, gaps, a small crack on the basin, the

tip of the obelisk without a doubt replaced.

Especially in the shape of a fountain is a reduction of the Fountain of the slackers,

made by the sculptor Dominique Fossati and erected in 1778, and

now place des Capucines in Marseille.

Especially one of the same shape, but decorated differently and without registration

is kept at the musée Cantini in Marseille and reproduced in the catalogue

of the exhibition of The faience of Marseilles in the Eighteenth century, the manufacture
