Lot 11073 | Martin Bormann (1900 - 1945) – a photograph album belonging to Hitler's private secretary from 1930 - 1933
A total of 75 photos/photo postcards, some labelled, four of which signed to Bormann. Beginning with two large-format Hoffmann photographs (the back stamped "Nur als Beleg - Presse Hoffmann", (tr.: Proofs only), Hitler welcoming children to Obersalzberg. Gautag in Gera, July 1930. SS in Munich (tr.) "during the German revolution". Hitler arriving in Munich as Chancellor. Parade in Weimar, October 1930. SA meeting in Braunschweig, October 1931. Gauleiter conference in Munich, February 1932. Parade in Weimar, 1932. Hitler at Berlin/Tempelhof airport, April/June 1932. Hitler's speech in the Deutsches Nationaltheater in Weimar and parade in Weimar, October 1930. Braunes Haus and Hitler landing in Munich. Return of the flag confiscated by the police in 1923, parade in Braunschweig. Gruppenführer Freiherr von Eberstein and Standartenführer von Conta. Two photographs of Bormann's study and the wine tavern at Obersalzberg.
Moreover, 13 portrait postcards, four of which signed, "S.l. Kameraden Bormann in Treue - Frhr. v. Eberstein 19./2.33", "Meinem lb. Kameraden Bormann in Freundschaft 5.10.33 Dietrich" and two barely legible dedications, plus portraits of Walter Buch, Ernst Röhm, Adolf Wagner, Adolf Hitler, Alfred Rosenberg, Wilhelm Frick and Karl Litzmann. Some of the photos are loose, the album pages and cover torn in places, the front page labelled "SA II - 1.7.1930 - 3.1933".
Extremely interesting album with rare, early private photographs and autographs.
