Der Kupferstecher, Kartograph und Verleger Matthäus Seutter begann seine Ausbildung zum Landkartenstecher bei Johann Baptist Homann in Nürnberg. 1702 kehrte er nach Augsburg zurück, heiratete, 1709 gründete er seinen eigenen Verlag. Seit den 1720er Jahren war er mit seinen Publikationen überaus erfolgreich. Seit etwa 1720 stellte er seine Karten zum "Atlas Compendiosus" zusammen, der anfangs aus 20 Blättern bestand und später unter den Titeln "Atlas Geographicus", "Atlas Novus" und "Grosser Atlas" auf mehr als 400 Blätter erweitert wurde. Der "Atlas Novus" erschien ab 1728 auch in Wien bei Johann Peter van Ghelen als "Atlas novus indicibus instructus ..." mit Ortsregistern von Matthäus Roth. Matthäus Seutter gilt nach Johann Baptist Homann als bedeutendster deutscher Kartenstecher der ersten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts. Die offenbar verlorene Karte 19 "Poloniae Regnum" wurde durch eine Farbkopie ersetzt und eingebunden. Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass eines Tiroler Sammlers.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
