Auf der Kammer dreizeilige Firmierung, rechts am Rahmen zweizeilige. Links US-Händleradresse "Von Lengerke / & Detmold / New-York". Vollständige originale Brünierung, minimale Gebrauchsspuren am Knauf. Auszieher und Bedienteile vollständig gebläut. Hahn mit Gehäuse grau gebeizt. Dunkle Nussholzgriffschalen mit feinen Rillen. Originaler Fangring. Sehr seltenes Sammlerstück, geschätzte Gesamtfertigung maximal 100 Stück dieser Sonderausführung, exklusiv für Lengerke & Detmold. Vgl. u.a. Cal. 7,63mmMauser, SN. 40060, matching numbers, incl. grips. Barrel length 100mm, bright bore. Six shots. Proof marks Double-Crown/"U" and Oberndorf antlers. Year of make 1905. Lug for shoulder stock. On top of chamber three-line maker's mark, on the right hand side of receiver two-lines, on the left-hand side marked "Von Lengerke / & Detmold / New-York". Original finish > 99%, with only minor traces of wear on the bottom grip strap. Hammer and lock frame case hardened, extractor and small parts fire blued. Walnut grips with fine checkering. Original lanyard ring.
An extremely rare collector's item! Of this pattern only 100 units were made upon special order by Lengerke & Detmold. See amongst others Breathed/Schroeder, "System Mauser", p. 96, and Erickson/Pate, "The Broomhandle Pistol", p. 182.
