Kal. 7,63mmMauser, Nr. 399, nummerngleich inkl. Griffschalen. Lauf leicht matt, Länge 140 mm. Zehnschüssig. Fertigung 1899. Bescheinigung über Nichtbeschuss. Schiebevisier skaliert 50 - 500. Ohne Nut für Anschlagschaft. Laufwurzel mit dreizeiliger Firmierung, rechts kaiserliche Abnahme Krone/got. Buchstabe. Originale Brünierung mit feinen Lager- und Schlagspuren auf allen Teilen, partiell dünner am Rahmen, Griffbänder blank. Bedienteile und Auszieher großteils blau angelassen. Hahn mit Gehäuse grau gebeizt. Nussholzgriffschalen mit Querrillen. Originaler Fangring. Vgl. Breathed / Schroeder, System Mauser Mod. 1896, S. 68, wo diese Waffe numerisch aufgeführt und dem deutschen Truppenversuch zugeordnet wird.

A Mauser C 96 Flatside, German Army Trials of the "Gewehr Prüfungs-Kommission (GPK)" in Berlin, Spandau
Cal. 7,63mmMauser, SN. 399, matching numbers, incl. grips. Barrel length 140 mm, slightly matte bore. Ten shots. No modern proof marks. Year of make 1899. Rear sights graduated 50 - 500. No lug for shoulder stock. On top of chamber three-line maker's mark, on its right side imperial acceptance mark Crown/gothic letter. Original finish with storage and handling and some moderate punch marks on all parts, thinning on the receiver, the grip straps without finish. Hammer and lock frame case hardened. Small parts and extractor fire blued. Walnut grips with grooves. Original lanyard ring. See Breathed / Schroeder, "System Mauser Mod. 1896", page 68, where this gun is listed and assigned to the German Army Trials.
