Mit Nut für Anschlagschaft. Laufwurzel mit dreizeiliger Firmierung, rechts kaiserliche Abnahme Krone/got. Buchstabe. Ebenfalls Krone/got. Buchstabe unter dem Lauf. Originale Brünierung mit feinen Lagerspuren. Bedienteile und Auszieher großteils blau angelassen. Hahn mit Gehäuse grau gebeizt. Nussholzgriffschalen mit Querrillen. Originaler Fangring. Dabei eine braune Tasche markiert "F.COBAU Berlin", mit Trageriemen.
Ende 1901 kaufte das deutsche Kriegsministerium etwas mehr als 200 Flatside-Pistolen mit großem Ringhammer, die von etwa „170“ bis „425“ nummeriert waren. Vgl. Breathed/Schroeder, System Mauser Mod. 1896, S. 68, in dem diese Waffe dem deutschen Truppenversuch zugeordnet wird. Perfekte Mechanik. Eine großartige Waffe mit einer faszinierenden Geschichte, Teil der deutschen Militärtests. Rarissimum in ausgezeichneter Erhaltung.

Cal. 7,63mmMauser, SN. 192, matching numbers, including grips. Barrel length 140 mm, bore slightly dull. 10 shots. Production date 1899. No modern proof marks. Sliding rear sight graduated 50 - 500. Lug for shoulder stock. Chamber area with three-line company marking on top, imperial acceptance marks crown/gothic letter on the right hand side, also on the underside of the barrel. Original finish with minor signs of wear. Small parts and extractor nitre blued, hammer and locking block case hardened. Walnut grips. Original lanyard ring. Brown leather holster, marked "F.COBAU Berlin", with carrying strap. Mechanically flawless.
At the end of 1901 the German Ministry of War purchased some 200 C 96 Flatsides with large ring hammers, numbered from approx. „170“ to „425“. See Breathed/Schroeder, "System Mauser Mod. 1896", p. 68, where this gun is assigned to the German military trials. A wonderful, extremely rare specimen in excellent condition, with a very interesting history!

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
