Expressive of the abstraction of approaching composition of the artist, one of the most important Austrian painters is part of the post-war modern. Hamlet studied from 1930 to the Vienna Academy, since 1933, in the master class of Karl Sterrer, who introduced him to the art of ancient Chinese landscape painting of the Song dynasty (960-1279). Around 1960, in a discussion of the contemporary avant-garde, he developed an abstract language of form in the direction of abstraction.
