Designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler and Johann Friedrich Eberlein 1738 polychrome decoration, gilding, oval corpus with handle of male sea-figures, feet made of fish and mascaron heads, Galatea and Acis as lid figures holding a drapery, blue swordmark, model-no. 05018, lightly damaged, h 43 cm.
A model could have been an engraving by C. Cesio after the fresco of Annibale Caracci in the Villa Farnese in Rom.
