Meissen.
Maker/Designer: Design L- Zepner, decor H. Werner, 1966/67.
Technique: porcelain, enriched with colour and gold decorated.
Description: Coffee service with oriental motifs. Overall 40 pieces, consisting of:
1 coffee pot,
12 cups,
12 saucers,
12 cake plates,
2 cream jugs and a cake plate.
Measurement: Height of the jug 19,5cm.
Mark: Sword mark, underglaze blue. Various embossing numbers, various painter's numbers.

The creator of the '1001 Nights' decoration, Heinz Werner, was a member of an artists' collective that was responsible for designing new figures, wall panel paintings and vessels in Meissen from 1960 onwards. One of the main tasks of this new department was the development of coffee and table services. The aim was to build on Meissen's long tradition and use innovative means to create creative highlights of European tableware culture.
The decoration of 1001 Nights on the 'Large Detail' service designed by Ludwig Zepner is an ideal example of this approach.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
