Maker/Designer: Model J. J. Kaendler, 1737.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours.
Description: The allegory with bare feet and long robe on a small plinth. The robe is also draped over
the head with a purple border. The right hand stretched out to the side, in the left a
large Christian cross.
Measurement: Height 11,3cm.
Mark: Swords mark, painted blue under glaze.

At the end of the 18th century, the small figurines of saints were popular decorations for smaller domestic altars. According to Kaendler's work report from January 1737, he had made 3 pieces of sacred figurines, which were ordered for Her Majesty the Queen.
