Design Peter Reinicke to 1747, loft between 1747 to about 1760, on the back of a pale underglaze blue sword mark, triple fired and glazed hard-paste porcelain with polychrome overglaze painting and gold staffage, peasant woman with a hood on flower clear pedestal with a tree stump and the right leg to the dance collected, in the right Hand the Rock holding, as a counterpart to the musical peasant with hurdy-gurdy, very rare and early Meissen figure in very good condition, only a blade tip at the Base of spine, otherwise absolutely immaculate and unrestored, H 20 cm, source: information provided by the state. Porcelain Manufactory Meissen, Staatl. Art collections in Dresden, inventory number PE 173 (a farmer) and PE 258 (Bauer).Artist info: dt. A modeller (1711 in Danzig until 1768 in the city of Meißen), ab 1743 to employees of J. J. Kaendlers at the manufactory, from 1748 as a freelance modeller has and since 1765 restorer of old models, created numerous small figures and was involved in many Work Kaendlers, source: Hirmer, Meissner porcelain, p. 34.
